Anthony Williams recommends drinking 500 ml of pure celery juice daily on an empty stomach. You can also choose a gentler option.

 

My suggestion for a three-week spring detox:

  • Start the day with a glass of lukewarm water on an empty stomach.
    While you prepare the juice from celery and possibly other ingredients such as apple, pineapple, orange, cucumber, or lemon, your stomach can prepare itself for this vitamin and mineral bomb.
     
  • It is important that the ratio of celery to other ingredients is 3:1, i.e., the celery juice should always predominate. It is just a matter of adding another flavor component if you don't like the taste of celery juice, which is actually surprisingly mild. 
  • Use organic quality! 5 stalks yield approx. 150 ml of juice. 
  • If you have a juicer, great—if not, you can also use a blender and then strain the liquid through a fine-mesh sieve. 
  • Start with 50 ml of celery juice and slowly increase the amount to 150 ml during the first week and to 250 ml during the second week. I recommend sticking to this amount and drinking the juice in sips or spoonfuls.
